South African Flying Delights

SA Flying Delights
EAA Airshow 2005 Wonderboom

The flag is, certainly the largest SA flag to be jumped. It was constructed by Aerodyne Sytems with fabric from Galvenor Textiles. The flag measures 18m X 27m for a total area of 5234 square feet. The packed weight is about 80kg including the 35kg weight on the bottom. The flag is flown under a 400 sq foot tandem canopy and has a 16' pulled apex round recovery chute in case of a cut-away. When deployed it decends at about 1200' per minute.
